Webbased solution for Document Delivery



In cooperation with TDNet KnowledgeGate has developed a webbased version of the standard KnowledgeGate Document Delivery module for the Document Delivery services for Libraries using the TDNet Linker.

The solution includes the TDNet OpenURL Link Resolver with the TDNet A-Z and Article Finder, and in addition services for utilizing the TDNet knowledge base. The new KnowledgeGate Document Delivery Web works as back office system to collect, enrich and convey user orders to document suppliers. 

The overall solution presents itself to the patrons of a library as a simple way to search for and access articles, regardless of whether they are searching through the library’s own portal or in external databases.

The Link Resolver and the Document Delivery solution work together to offer direct access to the full text version of articles, when possible, and alternatively to a document delivery form. The librarian can quickly and effortlessly handle the orders, that the Linker has not already found, or ordered automatically.

The solution is built to optimize and automate the workflow in document delivery, and it can be tailored to meet the demands of the library’s policies towards different groups of patrons at a library, by enforcing the build-in rules tables.
